Baggage / Limit of Liability
1.
If you are checking in fragile, perishable or valuable objects

Air Europa cannot be held responsible for possible damage to objects checked-in as fragile (glass bottles, paintings, handicrafts, souvenirs, etc.), perishables, money, jewels, works of art, precious metals, silverware, legal documents or other valuable objects, expensive clothes, optical and/or electronic equipment, cameras of any type, musical instruments, company documents, transferable securities, samples, shares, passports and other documents, any object of value, and badly packed sports equipment.


2.
After leaving the baggage reclaim hall

The company will not accept any claims for damage or missing contents once the passenger has left the baggage collection area.


3.
In the event of minor damage to luggage

Air Europa will only assume responsibility for major damage and not for the normal wear and tear that is inevitable in the everyday handling of baggage, and that do not interfere with its mission, which is containing the passenger’s belongings and protecting them from outside interference. For this reason, Air Europa will not accept responsibility for minor defects such as:

- Scratches and scoring
- Cuts and dents
- Stains resulting from use
- defects in handles and wheels
- Defects in support elements
- Straps or accessories that project from the baggage

Passengers must observe the manufacturer’s recommendations with respect to maximum weight and capacity.
