Baggage / Declaration of Value
If you wish to check an item in on any Air Europa flight that you wish to make a declaration of  value for you must proceed in accordance with the following rules:

1) When to present the document:

If you wish to make a declaration of value for your luggage you must go to the company’s check-in desks at least 2 hour prior to the departure of your flight.

2) Shared documents:

- ID (National Identity Document or passport).
- Ticket.
- Form with the declaration of the inventory duly filled in (available on the website and at points of sale).

3) Opening of luggage:

Before checking your luggage in and as an essential requirement you must open your luggage in front of an employee designated by the company so that the latter may check that the articles declared as being of value are present in the quantity and condition that you have indicated. Once this process has been completed, you must lock your luggage with a key, padlock and/or combination lock.   

4) Limits for Declaration:

In order to accept your checked luggage with a declaration of value, the luggage must be valued at up to a maximum of 4,000 euros. 

5) Charges:

The charge for this service offered by the company will be 4% of the declared value, within the limits set out in the previous paragraph.

6) Restrictions:

Checked luggage with a declaration of value will not be accepted when the luggage has to be transferred in order to be carried on a different airline. In such cases you must check your luggage in again with the other company during the stopover.
